Vernon Institute
The Vernon Institute (known locally as the V.I.)  is located in Saughall Village at the corner of Church Rd and Hermitage Rd - 4 miles from Chester. 

We have community meeting facilities, halls for events and a sports field located centrally in Saughall village.

Our mission....'The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a recreation ground and village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Saughall, including use for meetings, events and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the village.'
The Vernon Institute Management committee runs the charity and is made up of many volunteers of all ages with a wealth of experience from mixed backgrounds

    Chris Harman - Chair
    Chris has been involved with the Vernon Institute for over 19 years. He started running the Junior badminton club when his children were 7 & 10. After a few years as Vice Chair he became Chair in 2008.
  2. Harry Dobson - Treasurer
    Harry Dobson - Treasurer
    Harry has been involved as Treasurer for the Vernon Institute for the last 19 years.
  3. Jenny Young - Vice Chair
    Jenny Young - Vice Chair
    Jenny has been involved with the Vernon Institute in supporting many of th e groups as well as playing a key role managing the Uniform Groups in Saughall.
  4. Peter Young - Secretary

    Peter Young has been a Trustee supporting the Vernon Institute since 2012
